Fact Sheets
On November 16, 2016, the Maryland State Department of Education issued the long awaited Technical Assistance Bulletin on Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia.

Decoding Dyslexia Maryland worked closely with MSDE to ensure that the following items were included:
  1. The IDA Definition of Dyslexia
  2. Definitions of Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia
  3. Warning signs of dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia
  4. How to identify dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia and who is eligible to identify these conditions in Maryland Public Schools
  5. Clarify and emphasize the ability of school teams to not only say dyslexia, but to also evaluate for dyslexia, identify dyslexia, provide effective instruction for dyslexia
  6. Instruction --> Structured Literacy: Elements and Principles of Instruction: actual language in the TAB is less detailed, but gets to the crux of the issue.
